Stuart Green BSc, MSc, PhD, CEng, MICE, FCIOB, FRICS
Stuart Green initially graduated in civil engineering from the University of Birmingham. He subsequently gained experience with a UK national contractor prior to studying a master’s degree at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and a PhD at the University of Reading. Thereafter he progressed through the ranks of academia before being appointed professor of construction management at the University of Reading in 2002. He has since served in several leadership roles within the university, including Head of the School of the Built Environment (2010-2017).
Stuart writes about the construction sector with the benefit of 30 years’ experience in policy engagement, research, and applied consultancy. Over the course of his career he has secured significant research funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), much of which has been delivered in collaboration with industry. He is a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE), Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building (FCIOB) and a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS).
