This book is a fascinating read. It takes time to digest the density of critical analysis but it is worth the effort. It is a complex industry and cannot be summarised in sound bites.
Politicians involved in construction would be well served by investing time to digest the contents of this book. If construction is the barometer of the economy it seems sensible to make sure they understand the industry in order to develop future strategies.
Stuart pinpoints the key issues but does so in a way that shows he cares about the industry and the people who work in it. There are some tough critical observations but they are factual and helpful.
There is a need for more books like this in construction.
